To strengthen our European Fashion team we are currently looking for a CMF Designer for Maxi-Cosi & Quinny based in Helmond. The fashion team is responsible for the styling operation of our premium brands Maxi-Cosi and Quinny. Our team of fashion designers translates the brand direction and philosophy into styling directions and concepts by researching consumer trends, fashion and interior trends and using sales numbers. The team develops an annual collection that is sold all over the world and supports Product Design in the development of new products.

Your mission

As a CMF Designer, it is your mission to develop new styling concepts for existing and new products within the Brand- & Collection framework - defined by the brand team - and guidelines of the lead CMF designer to assure timely delivery of seasonal/yearly ideas on colours, patterns, trimmings and fabrics. You enjoy the challenge to keep track of trends in the juvenile category. Together with the team of industrial designers, global fashion designers, product- and brand managers, you develop new products, annual collections and special editions that are sold all over the world.

Key responsibilities

  • Build expertise/gain knowledge on lifestyle and taste of consumers worldwide with a strong focus on Europe and on competition per brand and per product family.
  • Translate the latest fashion trends & material innovations into new styling concepts
  • Work closely with Peers from, Global team, R&D and marketing with best open and collaborative attitude
  • Create and visualize ideas and designs by hand or using the computer
  • Produce detailed drawings of the designs and technically accurate sketches in close collaboration with Fashion design team
  • Create designs, graphic artworks and repeated patterns
  • Plan sample making for sewing atelier in close collaboration with lead Fashion designer
  • Prepare samples and ordering components & putting them together
  • Make the colour specification form per product in the range and process it in the organization
  • Sharing progress of work on collection, client specifics and projects with the Lead Fashion designer
  • Supports the Lead Fashion designer in daily task
  • Work closely with Peers from, Global team, R&D and marketing with best open and collaborative attitude
  • Supports the Lead Fashion designer in daily task
  • Occasional travel for shopping and visits to fairs


In this full time position you report to the Team Lead Fashion Design.

Your profile

  • Degree in fashion or textile design
  • At Least 3 years’ experience in a comparable role
  • You are up to date with emerging fashion & design trends as well as general trends relating to fabric, colours and shapes
  • Creative with fresh new ideas with the ability to combine creativity with Commercial sense.
  • Advanced use of Adobe Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop
  • Special interest in designing artworks and patterns for textiles
  • Have a good eye for colour and colour combinations
  • Fluency in English, able to work cross-border and across cultures
  • Pro-active, team-player and the ability to work in an international organization
  • Able to pinpoint areas of improvement within your scope of work.
  • Able to work independently. Solution and result driven.
