Your mission

Dorel Juvenile is looking for a Global Product Specifications Engineer to join the team at our Design and Development Center in Foxboro, MA. In this global role, you will be responsible for all global product specifications across all categories and supporting new platform development.

Key responsibilities

Participant to all activities linked to Global Product Specifications for all product categories. Participate and monitor test methods & requirements throughout Product Requirement Committees in collaboration with product development team (product engineers, product integrity), regulatory group and labs. Define and explain rationales behind requirements and ensure all specifications are relevant throughout smart rationales. Coordinate with laboratories to validate the relevant test methods in front of the requirements. Gather regional specific requirements and make sure specific local ones are relevant. Collaborate with regulatory team to anticipate regulations and standards evolutions. Collaborate with team to define the “Pre-Filtering” criteria for sourced products. Define and deploy the relevant training to the teams when necessary. Capitalize experience from market returns, market issues and consumer complaints, integrated within product requirements. Integrate perceived Quality within Product Specifications. Run project audits to monitor the right implementation & achievement of Dorel requirements. Support benchmarking activities on competitor’s products.

Your profile

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, preferably engineering. ASQ certified Quality Engineer preferred. Must have 4+ years experience in the quality/engineering discipline in the consumer products industry. Knowledge of related ASTM standards desirable. Experience with regulatory requirements of other global regions is a plus. Must be a positive team player who can collaborate with vendors, testing laboratories and product development teams. Experience implementing and addressing regulatory requirements in a supplier quality or new product development environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience working with International business units with manufacturing located primarily in Asia. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office. Must be able to travel as needed to support project deliverables.
