Your missionThe Manufacturing Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for assuring quality in all phases of the manufacturing process. This includes supplier performance, internal process quality measurement, and delivered product quality. This position will work to reduce and eliminate defects through PFMEA development, structured problem analysis, and effective corrective actions. The Manufacturing QA Engineer will also be responsible for all customer and supplier quality problem reports.
Key responsibilities• Accurately identify quality opportunities and deliver results that are impactful and completed on time. • Manage multiple quality improvement projects both to reduce variation and to benefit the business. • Sustain product compliance requirements for both internal quality standards and regulatory requirements. • Envision, develop, and champion quality initiatives. • Track manufacturing quality metrics as determined. • Additional duties as agreed upon
Your profile• College Degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing related) 4 year degree preferred. • Ongoing quality training would be provided and continued development of skills and abilities expected • Green Belt or Black Belt training and experience preferred. • Fluency in Spanish would be beneficial • Experience in consumer product quality and structured quality management system experience are preferred. • Ability to develop and drive quality system requirements such as product performance and specification requirements, test protocols, design validation plans, and product hazard analysis. • Demonstrated ability with various problem solving and quality related tools such as SPC, test plan development, root cause analysis. • Experience in Six Sigma efforts is desired. ASQ membership and certifications are a plus. • Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality related activities, specifically related to the manufacturing environment (thermoplastics preferred). DJG will require the Quality Engineer to be involved in many different facets of product quality. This will include new product development activities, quality requirements, creation of control plans, manufacturability review, serviceability, reliability, and conformance to functional requirements. • Candidate will be expected to pursue Certified Quality Engineer accreditation.
